Rain

An outburst of vertical drops

A much-needed cleansing of my soul.

Ahh… Today it rained. I listened to its calm.

And suddenly, I came alive.

Through rain, the world becomes a soft blur leaving us only to embrace what’s right before our eyes. Humbling ourselves to the One who is and always will be in control. We were not promised days without rain. We were not promised days without pain. There comes a time when we must learn to appreciate and learn from its falling presence.

Never underestimate the beauty of a pouring rain. Never underestimate the strength of the darkening gray. Face its reality. Accept the challenges of the seasons of change. And when our lives are full of heavy anxieties, let it go. Fall like rain.

Feel its presence.

Hear its message.

Understand its meaning.

Respect its season.

Enjoy its cleansing.

Know its worth.

Value its beauty.

Accept its existence…

and celebrate its undeniable truth;

that the rhythmic sound

of the falling rain

will intermittently fall upon us all.

    1. Aw! Thanks Yamina. I think rain can represent so many of the hurts and gray disappointments which come our way in life, but there’s a purpose for everything; even the rain. We just have to look beyond the clouds to see the purpose. 🙂
