Let the Silence Speak

When life is loud

Surrender to the Silence.

In all the chaos, the dragonfly

quietly makes his place in the world.

And remains beautifully untouched in its silence.

There is nothing more beautiful

than the silence of the blooming

sunflower.

and…as we work our 9 to 5’s,

there’s a quiet stillness that

speaks loudly to passers by.

The silence of the roadside beauty.

And who knew that the

vast volume of clouds with

its silence in passing

could say so much…

While the constant buzz of a busy city

moves fast in pace,

somewhere there is a child’s swing

sitting in silence.

Reminding us all to slow down…

and reflect on the quiet

of the beauty of change

ย that is about to fall upon us..

and shed some light on the silence that comes

at the end of each day.

The sun sets quietly …

as theย earth spins silently on her axis

for all to hear.

LET THE SILENCE SPEAK.

God is in control.

Please share how silence speaks to you?

          1. I got over it, thanks. That is to say – I’m in a bigger up now – the kind that I’m sure will never end. But, you know what they say … this too will pass. ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s all good. Hope you get better soon and … maybe you should take a break, Laura? ๐Ÿ™‚

Such beautiful and truthful thoughts! When my father passed away some 30 years ago, my mother and I drove to where he had worked to pick up his things. The drive was beautiful, but we both doubted “dad” ever looked at it in that way. We need to “stop and smell the roses” sometimes as the old saying goes…

    1. Thanks so much for your comments, Steve. I’m sorry about the loss of your father. I’m sure making that drive was tough. And maybe, just maybe he did notice the beauty.
Thanks for sharing such a personal experience. I appreciate your openness.๐Ÿ˜ƒ

You are very welcome, Laura. Maybe he did stop to enjoy the view, but he would not share such a thing with anyone…he was too private. I loved my father very much, but we were “opposites” in a number of ways. Anyway, you have a great day and sorry it has taken so long to reply!

  5. Beautiful post Laura. Your words were calming and beautiful. Enjoyed everyone of your great photos. When I venture into nature, open my eyes and truly take in all the beauty God made for us to see – My soul becomes calm, my brain slows – as I realize how much God loves us and how he shows us that love every day.

    1. Hi Elaine! So sorry it’s taken so long to reply. Please forgive me. Thanks so much for commenting and sharing your post. Yes. We are saying the same thing but with a visual contrast of pics. I love the city and its hustle and bustle when I visit. But only to visit. I so much enjoy the quiet of my little world. I live just outside of a big city and not too far from D.C. I enjoy many things the city has to offer but the quiet is home to me!
Thanks so much for sharing! Love your blog!๐Ÿ˜ƒ
