Treasured Moments

I have looked into the eyes of a child.

Each time, I find a treasure.

True treasures are hard to find.

But when you do, it’s priceless.

His brilliant eyes.

Pure joy and unconditional love.

This photo was taken almost two years ago. I remember it as if it were yesterday.

With each unsteady step in the thick of the sand, he came closer to the eye of the camera.

With the ocean behind him, he toddled toward me. He toppled over and felt the sand on his face.

Those big blue eyes. That beautiful unblemished face. That’s all I could see. As if no one else was even around.

I continued to snap the picture.

And this is my treasure.

My past, present and future moments with my grandson and future grandchildren.

Each time, I find a treasure.

True treasures are hard to find.

But when you do, it’s priceless.

His brilliant eyes.

Pure joy and unconditional love.

    1. Thanks Paul. I have many treasures within my family but being a Grandparent takes me to a wonderful place. I can only imagine what I have to look forward with great-grandchildren one day. 🙂
