my temporary rain

“These are the seasons of emotion

and like the winds they rise and fall…

Upon us all a little rain must fall.”

   -Led Zeppelin

These are my ‘drops of rain’

mingled with my ‘tears of pain’

and thankful it’s ‘only for a season.’

    1. Thank you so much, Oneta! 🙂

  4. Beautiful. The way the raindrops clung to the leaves and blended well with your tears of pain were good sights to behold. And now I see it like my temporary rain on my temporary pain and nature’s beauty within. Thanks, Laura.

    1. Thanks Paul. It’s been a rough weekend but I know it’s all a part of life. We all have our temporary rains….

      1. Oh, Laura, I commiserate with you on the death of your uncle and father-in-law. I didn’t get it earlier. Take heart and be strong. I hope your black Lab recovers soon.

        1. Thanks. We all know death is a part of life but we’re never really ready for it. There’s no possible way to prepare your emotions but pray the season passes quickly. We’ve had our dog since he was 7 weeks old and he’s a huge part of our family. It’s hard seeing him age. 😦

          1. You are welcome, Laura. Yes, we are never really ready for it and that’s why it hurts when we lose our loved ones. Please do send my warm regards to your dog.

    1. Thanks Lisa! 🙂 Just the way I’m feeling. Lost my Uncle and my Father-In-Law, both on Valentine’s Day. and…my Black Lab is 14 years old and fell twice this week. We will need to be making a ramp for him soon. He can’t go up or down steps safely and even with assistance, it’s rough for him. I’m just going through a “temporary” sadness right now. 😦

      1. My sympathies. That is so very hard. And I understand watching a dog age and decline. We list both our pugs witching 4 months of each other, about a year ago. Since dogs are such good people, I am heartbroken. Devastated. We still cry every day. to you.
