rear view mirror

Missed opportunities…

Blinded by circumstance;

Falling into a deep sleep…

Awakened by happenstance.

Moving forward, yet looking back;

Within the company of shadows.

It all blends in so well.

Looking back…

with no regrets.

It all makes sense… when the color fades.

Looking back with gratitude…

my rear view mirror says it well.

Yes, sometimes the color fades

but without the past…

I wouldn’t be who I am today.
